When in fully auto mode the gear changes are affected by the position of the accelerator pedal. If you only press the pedal a small amount the gear changes happen at lower revs. If you press the pedal down further the gear change happens at a higher revs. There is also a big difference when using the economy mode.
Dec 24, 2013. #4. new pumps are around £800, reconditioned around £450, second hand varies. You should of came here first for some info before buying, in general we avoid the 1.9 non turbo because of this although there are many around but pumps seem to last 60k then start giving trouble, the 1.9 turbo does not use the lucas pump.
I final found the problem and now it's fixed and ready to go:slayer:. the problem was that when i was switching on the ignition there was a gargaling sound from the back and from the front, when i changed the fuel filter the filter was completly empty but i knew that the primer pump was working so installed the new filter filled it up the car started and after 1 min it went off again checked
Both fuel pumps have been checked including the fuel check valve, electrics to them are fine, ground has been checked as well as the crank and cam angle sensor. I'm getting a bit desparate as have had so much done to it, and have just finished converting it into a microcamper.

PG146. 6. Hold the multimeter probes against the other 2 prongs on the relay. Plug the multimeter probes into the ports on the bottom of the machine so you can use them for testing.
